Frequently Asked

questions

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer individual therapy (ages 12+), couples therapy, and family therapy—all virtually for clients across Texas. Sessions are designed to be affirming, flexible, and client-centered.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I accept insurance through Headway and Alma, which helps with verification, billing, and claims. I also offer private-pay options for those not using insurance.

How long are therapy sessions?

Most sessions are 53+ minutes long. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation if you're unsure where to start.

Is everything virtual?

Yes—all sessions are held virtually using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can attend therapy from wherever feels most comfortable.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. No-shows or late cancellations will be charged a late fee. There’s also a 15-minute grace period built in for each session.

What can I expect during our first session?

The first session is about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and make sure you feel safe and supported in this space. There’s no pressure to share everything at once.

How do I know if therapy is working?

Great question! While progress looks different for everyone, many clients notice feeling more aware, less overwhelmed, and more equipped to handle challenges after a few sessions. We’ll check in regularly to see how things are going and adjust your goals as needed.

What if I need help between sessions?

If something urgent comes up, I do offer limited emergency sessions based on availability. These are typically same-day or next-day virtual appointments. You can request one by reaching out via email or the client portal, and I’ll do my best to accommodate. Please note that I do not provide 24/7 crisis care—if you're in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
